I discovered last year – by not being able to take off the full last two weeks of the year – that I really need to, for my health, productivity, and sanity.

I am proud that I have structured my life (expenditures, schedules, etc) to usually be able to take the last two weeks of the year off from work or early schedules. I find personally that the last two weeks of the year are dark and cold and it best serves me to follow the rhythm of nature and of my body to slow down, rest, reflect, and enjoy.

This allows me to heal, to plan, to be in touch with myself and my true vision and needs, and to organize my new year to be aligned with my most important goals and priotiries – health, spiritual work, my family and friends.

Last year, I needed to work at the office and also move houses and work on the new house – so it was not a very relaxing two weeks, and I started the year feeling very depleted, and never quite got my energy back up, until now.

Even if you cannot now schedule two weeks out of the office, finding smaller, convenient ways to really care for and nourish yourself is very important to your well-being.

What can you do right now to feel more relaxed and healthy? Breath work? Meditation? A walk? A trip to the gym? Reading for an hour? Soaking at a spa? Whatever it is, please care for yourself so that you can begin the new year with zest.

If you would like more ideas, or to try one of the relaxing sessions I offer, please email or call!

Blessings to you for the best health.
